Download Nokia Qt SDK 1.1 With Qt Quick For Faster App Creation

Nokia recently released Qt SDK 1.1, an IDE for developing mobile applications on Symbian OS and desktop applications on Windows 7, Linux and Mac OS X. According to Nokia, this tool supports faster app creation, especially for Nokia’s Touch Screen devices. With Nokia Qt SDK 1.1 version download, you get a user interface creation kit called ‘Qt Quick’ which is useful for graphic designers of applications.

#-Link-Snipped-#Qt Quick is a framework that will help you develop great looking and intuitive GUIs using QML, which is a language similar to CSS and JavaScript. A new feature that comes bundled with it is that you can do your prototyping with Qt Quick. So instead of going to another software like Flash you can get the prototyping in one place with QT Quick and re-use that code in your application.

Along with Qt Quick, the Qt SDK 1.1 includes Mobility APIs with map and navigation features, imaging features, notification API plug-ins etc.

With the release of Qt SDK 1.1 platform, now developers can target millions of Nokia touch-screen devices and Symbian Smartphones. It is also possible for Qt app developers to re-use code on Maemo and the future MeeGo device that Nokia will ship later this year.

Qt is available as a free 30-day commercial evaluation, or under the LGPL open source license. You can download it here: #-Link-Snipped-#.
