Double DES
Hello !
I have a doubt related to "meet in the middle attack" in the double DES. There is false alarm rate of 2^48 if only 1 pair of plaintext and ciphertext is known but it reduces to 2^-16 if another pair is known to cryptanalyst. Can someone please explain if he/she knows about it??\
