Difference between lean manufacturing and integrated product and process design

HI,
i am just thinking is there any difference between these two or both are one and the same........and go to gather are they both linked to each other or does integrated product and process design a part of lean.....?

    Lean is a production practice; which considers creation of valueable product to the end customer by minimizing waste.
    Waste can be anything like: More lead time, scrap material etc. which will lead to minimize profit or increase losses. Lean is almost derived from Toyota Production System.
    I think; integrated product and process design & concurrent engineering are same concepts. IPPD or concurrent engineering is an approach used in product development in which functions of design, manufacturing engineering and other depsrtments or functions are integrated in order to reduce the time required to bring a new product to end customer.
