    Mp3 players req. 2.5-5v to start charging of the Li-ion rechargeable battery.When you connect your Mp3 device or Flash memory module to your PC .after detecting the hardware,CPU bypass same voltage to the flash drive to charge up and also to function as a Removable Disk.Hope you got the idea .
