Dell 27-inch U2713HM Monitor Has New IPS Panel & Costs 50,000 Yen

Instead of launching globally, Dell has silently launched the new 27-inch monitor in Japan. Dell's U2713HM is a backlit LED and features its first AH-IPS display, making Dell one of the very few companies to have it. This monitor features viewing angle of up to 178 degrees and a 2,560 x 1,440 (WQHD) resolution. Dell boasts of a 37% reduction in energy consumption compared to its previous model U2711. This is achieved by using power management software that automatically transfers the monitor to sleep mode when not in use and performs automatic adjustment of screen brightness.

The monitor has support for HDMI, DVI-D, DisplayPort, VGA and a four port USB 3.0 Hub comes bundled. Those looking for cheaper options might not like the fact that this High Definition monitor will cost you 49,980 yen (including tax and delivery charges) which is approx. US $637. Dell's Japanese #-Link-Snipped-# will give you the detailed specs chart, but are you expecting the value for money here? Let us know in comments.
