    Congratulations for making it to the list of finalists, Nitish Singh.

    The following popped up in my mind while viewing your presentation. I might be completely wrong - so please feel free to correct me.

    I see that that the energy derived from gasoline is being used to charge the battery which aids later when the traction demands more power. I believe that this is not an efficient design. The car may not require additional power from the electric motor every time its being used. In that case, the energy is being wasted in charging the battery.

    How do you think a Hybrid Vehicle is more efficient than the normal gasoline-only engine?
