Cisco EA6500 802.11ac Wi-Fi Router & Cisco Connect Cloud Launched

Cisco has launched the EA6500 802.11ac Wi-Fi Router that can be used with Universal Media Connector network bridge and has support for Cisco Connect Cloud. EA6500 router features speeds of up to 450 + 1300 mbps, SpeedBoost(TM) Technology for Increased Signal Strength, WPA2 Encryption and SPI Firewall, Four Gigabit Ethernet Ports. It is IPv6 enabled and has 2 USB Ports and a 3D Antenna Array. You can buy this router for $219.99 at the Cisco Store.

Cisco Connect Cloud is the cloud service that gives you anytime, anywhere access to your home network. It host free apps for the router. Users just have to create a wireless home network and register it online by opening an account at CiscoConnectCloud.com to start using the customized apps. It has to be noted that Cisco Connect Cloud is different from Cisco Connect. The latter is an application that installs on a computer connected to your home network, and home network settings can be accessed only while using that computer.
