Celkon OCTA510 Featuring Octa-core Processor Priced in India At Just Rs. 8,990

Cellphone manufacturing Indian company Celkon mobiles, famous for making budget phones, has launched another phone today named Celkon OCTA510. Phones with cost less than Rs. 10,000 have been making a strong buzz in the market and Celkon OCTA510 is the latest to join them at the price of just Rs. 8,990. Sales exclusively through a single e-commerce website is also pretty common these days and Celkon too has made the OCTA510 smartphone available only on the e-commerce site eBay India. However, it is expected to hit the local markets soon.

The following are the specs of new phone. Celkon OCTA510 has the screen size of 5 inches with HD IPS display. The phone has a 1.4 GHz octa-core processor and runs on Android 4.4 KitKat OS. It has 1 GB RAM and internal storage of 8 GB which can be expanded upto 32 GB via SD cards thanks to the microSD slot available on the phone. The phone supports 3G connectivity and is both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth enabled. OCTA510 has a back camera of 8 MP and has LED flash while the front camera is 3.2 MP. The battery capacity of the phone is 2000 mAh.


The phone supports dual-SIM. It is equipped with the lesser known hotknot technology which will definitely be selling point for the phone. Besides that, the front camera can be controlled by voice and might interest the selfie buffs. Other features of the phone include smart gesture and intelligent wake up. The phone will come with OTG support and has other basic apps like document viewer and photo editor.

Currently, the phone is available only in white colour. Although it is a budget phone but unless, an update to its OS is launched soon, the phone might face a serious competition from phones like Xolo Omega 5.0 which offers better camera and greater battery capacity at the same price as Celkon OCTA510.
