Breathtaking time lapse Video from the International Space Station

The following is arguable Still, the wonder remains.

As a species, humans have spent about $150 billion on the International Space Station. This is a lot of money, which translates into a lot of time, energy and brainpower and effort. Is it worth it? In two minutes and 27 seconds, the video below should convince you that yes, it absolutely is.

The ISS is much more than a place from which it's easy to take spectacular pictures, of course, but the point that I'd very much like to make here is that arguably, the most important contribution that the ISS has made to the human race is one of inspiration. The ISS (and other spacecraft with cameras on them) have the unique ability to manufacture wonder and amazement and deliver it directly to us, and whatever value we put on that is simply not high enough.
