AT&T Multi-Beam Antenna Provides 5x Data Speeds For Live Events

There is one frequent problem at all live events. It is the Signal Coverage. Most of the time, the crowd at such events is enormous and obviously it results in dropped calls and upload fails. To circumvent this obstacle, AT&T has found out a new method. It has introduced a multi-beam antenna. The five beam antenna will create 5 narrow beams of coverage and as a result it enables 5 times the data traffic. It is economical, reliable and provides faster coverage. Apparently, AT&T is already using it during some sports and entertainment events.

The team constructed this “super speed” multi beam antenna by arranging the antennas in two rows of nine each. This could possibly increase data rates by 18 times. They claim that this is by far the most powerful one. Watch the following video from AT&T to know this technology better -
