ASUS Zenfone Go 4.5 LTE Launched For Rs. 6,999: Is Third Time The Charm?
Back in April, ASUS launched the Asus ZenFone Go 4.5 Revamped Variant Arrives In India - Specs At Glance of its budget offering the Zenfone Go 4.5. Now as the year comes to an end it has again tried to revive its market share in the budget segment by launching the third variant of Zenfone Go with LTE connectivity. Since ASUS is notorious for renaming the same smartphone, again and again, to distinguish this one from the others you can call it by its model name ZB450KL. We shall be sticking to ASUS Zenfone Go 4.5 LTE for the rest of the article. The ASUS Zenfone Go 4.5 LTE differentiates itself from the regular plastic smartphones by opting for a metallic IMR hairline finish. Like most ASUS smartphones the volume key is located underneath the rear camera for ease of taking selfies.
When it comes to specifications, they are modest, to say the least. Instead of a regular 5inch HD resolution screen, you have to make do with a 4.5inch FWVGA (854 x 480 pixels) resolution display. The screen is quite bright at 380nits and ASUS includes a blue light filter to ease the stress on your eyes. Underneath the hood, the company has opted to go with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 (MSM 8916) chipset instead of a cheap MediaTek one which houses a 1 GHz quad-core processor, Adreno 306 GPU and 1GB of LPDDR3 RAM. The internal storage of the ASUS Zenfone Go 4.5 LTE stands at 8GB and you get the option of expanding the storage to up to 128GB with help of microSD cards. As a promotional offer, ASUS is throwing in 100GB of Google Drive storage for up to 2 years.
When it comes to cameras on the ASUS Zenfone Go 4.5 LTE we have a bargain basement 8MP camera on the rear and a 2MP camera on the front. We have to mention here that the ASUS Zenfone Go 4.5 LTE comes with Android Marshmallow that is laced with the homegrown Zen UI. The ASUS Zenfone Go 4.5 LTE is powered by a 2070mAh battery that can last for an entire day of average use. The ASUS Zenfone Go 4.5 LTE measures 136.5 x 66.7 x 3.6~11.2 mm and weighs 135grams. The ASUS Zenfone Go 4.5 LTE will retail for Rs. 6,999 in these variants - Matte finish in Glamour Red colour and with a hairline finish in Silver Blue, Gold, and Silver.
