What is AngelHack?
#-Link-Snipped-# is a premier agency based out of San Francisco is conducting hackathons world wide during the Fall 2013 season with the biggest prize every given called hackcellerator - entry into the best accelerator program if you want to startup. AngelHack is coming to India for the second time and for the very first time ever in our own city Hyderabad. Hyderabad is the biggest hub of technology in India with Microsoft and Facebook having their head quarters of South Asia here. Every Hyderabadi should be proud of this event being held in our very own city of pearls.

AppHack 2013 is a 24 hour mobile hackathon aiming at building amazing mobile app ideas into reality at Microsoft India Development Center, Gachibowli on November 9-10, 2013.

What should I build at the hackathon?

Build a mobile application, just a mobile application. It can be done in HTML5, on iOS, Android, Appcelerator's Titanium etc etc on any platform you are comfortable and love doing with. What matters is that it's mobile first. This is where we see the majority of opportunities right now and a place where your simple hackathon project can have impactful applications. Feel free to connect your app to wearables, in-car devices, and other hardware integrations that are being formed today. You are free to use whatever you want to build your amazing app idea into a reality. Every thing is allowed but in the mobile space.

Who should attend this hackathon?

Junior developers looking to improve their skills, senior developers looking to jive with budding members of the community, designers of all skill-sets, and serious entrepreneurs that can add value to teams. Never built on Android or iOS before? Fear not, we'll do our part to have teachers on hand throughout the hackathon to help you get going with these new and needed skills.

If you are unaware of developing on Android or any other mobile platforms until now, we have 5 hours of bootcamp sessions by various experts in the industry who will come over and teach you the best possible quick ways to build a mobile app in the given time frame. We also have mentors who will stay around during the two days enabling you to solve critical problems and also give quick feedback for your applications and also give you tips and tricks to make them better.

How is it all judged?

We're doing things a little different this time. Say goodbye to power-points. That's right, no power-points whatsoever. To present at AppHACK you must DEMO. Period dot the end. And everyone who wants to win AngelHack will have to demo their product for at least 30 seconds. Projects will be judged on a combination of originality, technological difficulty, viability and usefulness. We want to see new ideas, ideas that are useful, ideas that solve big problems, ideas that could potentially make money and ideas that get people excited.
