Android Will Soon Be At The Peak

eMarketer has gone all out to suggest that by the end of this year, the iPhone will have lost its title as the No. 1 smartphone in the US.  It’s archrival Android is going to rise to the supreme position.
These discussions are purely based on the US Market, Android will be installed on 37% of all smartphone handsets in theUSby year-end. This will be a big leap of nearly 13 percentage points over 2010. Apple will similarly finds its growth rising but not very significantly from 28% to 29%. iOS will continue to grow in market share through 2013, but it is being predicted that Android will grow at a faster pace, one which poses a definite threat to Apple.

Android is growing at the cost of the dwindling footprint of Research In Motion’s BlackBerry and Microsoft’s and other competitors’ operating systems, including Nokia’s Symbian. It is going to be easy pickings for Android in the days to come.
Very soon both the mighty giants will be locking horns one on one. It will be just Apple and Google. Microsoft, Nokia and RIM will have to come out with something really remarkable to stem the flow of their dwindling market share.
Android is growing phenomenally well primarily because of the range of devices which are being offered with it, they have a small drawback here where device fragmentation will make their marketing efforts more difficult.
