After Amazon, Flipkart Now Offers One Day Delivery Option For Rs. 90

Online shopping website Flipkart has announced its “In-a-day Guarantee” delivery option on orders. The one day delivery option will be only applicable on orders placed with seller WS Retail. To avail this delivery option the user will have to check whether his/her location is eligible for this service or not by entering the area pincode. If the location is eligible for this service they will be able to select the “In-a-day Guarantee” delivery option in the checkout section for which they shall be charged Rs. 90 for each item. Orders have to placed before 6 PM to make sure that they can be delivered on the next business day.

If for some reason Flipkart is unable to deliver the product within the next day it promises to take the following steps to get your money back.

“If a product is not delivered within the promised time, the amount charged for shipping is refunded back to your Flipkart Wallet. You’ll see the expected delivery date at the time of placing the order.

For Cash-on-Delivery orders, the delivery charge will be collected as part of the order, but will be automatically refunded to your Wallet within 24 hours.

Our money-back guarantee has got you covered in case our courier partner is unable to initiate the In-a-Day Guarantee delivery within the promised date. We will refund your delivery charge within 24 hours. We will also remit twice that amount to your Wallet for future purchases on Flipkart. This amount is non-refundable.

The next-day shipment promise does not hold if our courier has attempted to deliver your order within the promised time but you are unable to receive it. Please ensure that you or someone on your behalf can receive the shipment.

We hope you understand that we cannot guarantee next-day delivery to commercial establishments on Saturdays and Sundays, as they might be closed.”
The service for the meanwhile is available for deliveries in the cities of Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Noida and Pune. The service is slightly cheaper than Amazon’s one day delivery which requires you to pay Rs. 99 per item. Amazon has also got an additional delivery option that will deliver your item within two days for Rs. 79 for each item. Amazon too refunds the charges if the orders are not delivered within the stipulated time.

Flipkart has gone head to head with its biggest rival with this service but can we expect Flipkart delivery drones anytime soon?
