About mileage?

What type of drive do you think gives the best mileage?
1.Driving at normal speed by applying brakes and changing gears frequently? or
2.Driving at the top speed about 110 to 130 kmph constantly?

Which type of drive gives the best mileage? with Technical reasons if possible...

#1, driving at top speed uses a lot of fuel. The most efficient way for mpg is to drive at the slowest speed without lugging the engine in th top most gear. Maintaining this speed without using brakes. Braking also has a negative response to fuel economy as you will use additional fuel accelerating back up to operating speed.

Driving at a constant speed makes an efficient combustion of fuel. If we apply brakes then we are reducing the gained acceleration. Hence we are making a loss of the fuel burnt. This reduces the mileage.
Also constant braking contributes to the decline of performance of vehicle.
Even if we drive at a higher speed, it has a negative impact on the efficiency of vehicle.

driving at high speed results in full throttle opening as a result more fuel is burnt which reduces mileage.
drving should be done at normal speed without frequently changing gears and applying brakes.

In general drive your your vehicle between 40-60 kmph for better mileage.

Being gentle on the throttle is the best way to get good mileage. Being Gentle actually means-grip the throttle and twist it slowly in a progressive manner than ripping it to a particular position.
