3D Android Games For HP TouchPad Coming Soon!

There's some good news for those who bought the $99 HP TouchPad recently. As CyanogenMod had stated earlier, they were working on porting Android onto the TouchPad in order to replace the obsolete webOS. They have already improved the WiFi, accelerometer and other features. Recent updates show that 3D gaming is next on their list!

The Cyanogenmod team has been busy at work tweaking Google's Android to run smoothly on the discarded HP TouchPad device which HP has now scrapped. They have modified a HP Touchpad to run various 3D games as well as playing 720p high definition local video.

The TouchPad has two 1.5GHz cores and now both can be used. Sounds issues which were experienced previously have also been rectified. Hardware accelerated video has also been enhanced. Cyanogenmod intends to provide a dual boot system which will allow users to choose between booting into Android or into the webOS operating system

The CM team will only release a ROM once the porting is perfect and ready for public consumption. For those who are looking to inject their TouchPads with this CyanogenMod release, you will have to wait a bit longer. Let the trained professionals at CyanogenMod bring their creation to perfection and then enjoy Android on the TouchPad
