Zopo Color X 5.5 launched in India for Rs.11,999; Comparison with Redmi Note 4 and Moto G5

Zopo Mobiles has launched a new smartphone in India called the Zopo Color X 5.5. The company seems to be in a rush to capture Indian market. The company had launched the #-Link-Snipped-# last month and it was quick to launch another smartphone. The Zopo Color X 5.5 has been launched to compete with the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 and the Moto G5. The Zopo Color X 5.5 has been competitively priced at Rs. 11,999 and it shall be available in retail stores from April in Charcoal Black, Royale Gold, Orchid Gold, and Space Grey colour variants. Does the Zopo Color X 5.5 manage to stand apart from the competition? Let’s find out in the following paragraphs.

The Zopo Color X 5.5 has been made out of metal instead of polycarbonate plastic for durability and grip. This make its very similar in design with the Redmi Note 4 and Moto G5. The Zopo Color X 5.5 has a fingerprint sensor on the home button which borrows gestures from the Moto G5. Just like on the Moto G5, you can use the home button to return to previous screen, return to home screen and display recently used applications on the Zopo Color X 5.5. If you look closer though, the Zopo Color X 5.5 is devoid of the three on screen buttons that are found on the Moto G5 which perform the same functions as the home button. The Zopo Color X 5.5 has a 5.5inch HD resolution display that is encased in 2.5D curved glass for smooth edges.

The Zopo Color X 5.5 runs Android Marshmallow with the help of a MediaTek MT6737 chipset that houses a 1.3GHz quad-core processor, ARM Mali T720 GPU and 1GB of RAM. This is where the Zopo Color X 5.5 loses badly in its competition with the Redmi Note 4 and Moto G5 which are equipped with much superior Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 and 430 respectively with bigger RAMs. The Zopo Color X 5.5 has an internal memory of 16 GB which is same as a low end Redmi Note 4. The Zopo Color X 5.5 has microSD card support of up to 64GB.

The Zopo Color X 5.5 has an 8MP camera on the rear with LED flash and a 5MP one on the front with LED flash. The Zopo Color X 5.5 is powered by a 2500mAh battery which is insufficient for an average day’s use. The Redmi Note 4 and Moto G5 have much bigger batteries which can last for a day or even more. The Zopo Color X 5.5 supports 4G, Wi-Fi, microUSB and Bluetooth connectivity. The Zopo Color X 5.5 has been equipped with gravity, accelerometer and light sensors. The Zopo Color X 5.5 will retail for Rs. 11,999. If you ask us, you are better off spending a grand or two more and getting a Redmi Note 4.
