While major brands across the world are busy at CES 2017, Indian smartphone manufacturer and Lava Mobiles subsidiary XOLO has launched a new smartphone. The XOLO Era 2X was tipped to be launched today and it has kept with the schedule. The XOLO Era 2X will be available in two variants, one with 2GB RAM that costs Rs. 6666 and the other with 3GB RAM that costs Rs. 7,499. The XOLO Era 2X will be available for sale on Flipkart from Monday in Latte Gold and Gunmetal colour variants. The XOLO Era 2X like any other budget smartphone in this price bracket sports a 5inch HD resolution screen with a pixel density of 294ppi. Underneath we find a MediaTek MTK6737 chipset that houses a 1.25GHz quad-core processor, ARM Mali T720 GPU and we mentioned earlier 2 or 3GB of RAM to run Android Marshmallow. The internal memory of the XOLO Era 2X is slightly larger at 16GB and you do get the option of expanding the memory to up to 32GB with the help of microSD cards of up to 32GB. The fingerprint sensor is located just below the rear camera and can be used to lock the smartphone and apps.

When it comes to cameras on the XOLO Era 2X, we have an 8MP rear camera with 5P Largan Lens architecture, Blue Glass Filter and LED flash. The front 5MP camera has to make do with screen flash. The XOLO Era 2X is powered by a user-removable 2500mAh battery that provides a standby time of 322 hours and 16 hours of talk time.
