XOLO Black Flipkart Launch Teased - What We Know So Far

XOLO has been teasing about its new flagship smartphone called the 'XOLO Black' for quite some time now. The home-grown manufacturer has been building up the buzz around its all new Black series since last few months. It has become quite evident that the company hopes to compete with the likes of Xiaomi, Micromax Yu Series and Motorola smartphones. XOLO has tied up with Flipkart to launch its upcoming Black series phones exclusively via the ecommerce portal. Interestingly, the company has declared that it will be launching a new phone every quarter. The Black series will get its first phone in days to come and the company yesterday released a teaser video showing us how the phone looks for the first time.

From the Xolo Black teaser video (see at the end), two major features of the phone were highlighted. First one being the phone's stain-free and smudge-free body and the other as the phone having twin-camera setup with an LED flash in the center. Other than that, we know from the image that the Xolo Black has a glass panel on the back and a sleek form factor. On the phone's side you see a slim volume rocker single button.

Though we don't know much about the phone's specs, rumors suggest that Xolo Black would feature Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system with Hive 1.5 UI layer. Then there are also talks of Xolo Black featuring support for 4G LTE connectivity.

As is customary, Flipkart generally puts up a page to highlight the features of the company's upcoming smartphones, but the page for Black isn't up yet. Since the phone is expected to launch in the next few weeks, more updates about features and rumors should not be long.

Check out the teaser video here:

XOLO is introducing Black as a sub-brand and this strategy looks quite similar to what Huawei did with Honor, Micromax with Yu or ZTE with Nubia range of smartphones.

What are your thoughts about the all new XOLO Black? Do you think it will live up to its hype? Let us know via comments.

Yep. Most phones fail to live up to the expectations. Hope this will be different.
