Xiaomi to accept pre orders for Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 on Mi.com, starting March 31

Here is a good news for all the Mi fans out there. Xiaomi, the world's 4th largest smartphone maker based in China, is all set to let go of its annoying flash sales model for selling its uber popular Redmi Note 4 smartphone, in India. In an announcement on its official website today, it said that the company is ready with a brand-new pre-order system on #-Link-Snipped-# that will enable its customers to purchase the Mi products without waiting for the next flash sale.

The pre-order system will debut with the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, on March 31. After March 31, customers will be able to pre-order the smartphone at 12 PM every Friday. After placing the pre-order the product will be shipped to the customer's address within 5 days
To successfully place a pre-order, Sign up for an account on Mi.com if you are a new user or just log in and select the product. On the next steps, enter your delivery address, place the order and pay online. Please note, purchase of only one unit per account is allowed and one needs to pay for his/her order online (with a credit card, debit card, Netbanking, online wallets, etc) as cash on delivery option will not be available for pre-orders. In case you change your mind after pre-ordering, you may cancel it before it is shipped and the company will initiate a refund to your bank account within 7-10 working days. You can also add regular products on the Mi.com to your pre-order. In those cases, the entire order will be shipped when the pre-ordered products are ready (within 5 days for Redmi Note 4).

With the introduction of the pre-ordering feature, it seems Xiaomi is looking to gradually move out of the flash sale model which is incredibly inconvenient and annoying for the end users. Its effort to balance the big demand and lesser supply scenario can be seen as it has set up its second manufacturing facility in Andhra Pradesh’s Sri City in India which will reportedly make a smartphone every second during the working hours.
