Xiaomi Mi Note and Note Pro : Features, Specs and Price Announced

The Chinese smartphone giant, Xiaomi has announced two new smartphones/phablets to take on Apple's mighty iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 plus. Please do not confuse Mi Note and Mi Note Pro with Xiaomi's already popular Redmi Note; because these phones are in different league. The phones were unveiled by company CEO Lei Jun in Beijing today. Let's take a quick look at the features, technical specs and price of the new launches from Xiaomi.

Xiaomi Mi Note Details: The new flagship phone from Xiaomi offers a braveheart Snapdragon 801 CPU that operates at 2.5 GHz to ensure everything runs smooth. The graphics is handled by Adreno 330 GPU along with 3GB of RAM. The phone offers a 5.7" full HD display. As you'd expect from a typical 'Note', the phone's got 4G dual SIM support (micro/nano) with dual standby. The price of the phone starts at $370 for the 16GB model and $451 for the 64GB variant.

Xiaomi Mi Note Pro Details: The Mi Note Pro, as the name indicates is the bigger brother of the Mi Note and offers even more powerful hardware. The phone offers an octa-core processor with 4x Cortex-A57 @ 2.0GHz and 4x Cortex-A53 @1.5GH. Users are bound to be impressed by the 2K resolution display ( that is 2560x1440 pixels). The screen's dense packed with pixels with 551 pixels per inch. The phone's also got 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM and is equipped with 64GB of eMMC 5.0 Flash storage. The phone offers LTE-CAT.9 connectivity (~450 Mbps). The phone's priced at $532.


A lot of work's been done on the camera side as well. The phones offer 13MP rear camera powered by Sony IMX214 sensor along with optical image stabilization and dual-tone flash. The front shooter is 4MP that promises awesome looking selfies. Both the phones get hi-fi audio equipment with ESS ES9018K2M mobile edition audio processor that supports APE, FLAC, DSD and WAVE lossless file formats.
