Xiaomi Launches Mi TV 3S In 55 and 65 Inch Variants With Artificial Intelligence

As we were drooling on the Xiaomi Launches Mi 5S and Mi 5S Plus In China With Some Amazing Features smartphones, Xiaomi dropped in another bombshell with its televisions. At the same event, the Chinese electronics conglomerate launched two 4K (3840 x 2160 pixels) resolution TVs titled Mi TV 3S. The Mi TV 3S will be available in two variants, 55inch and 65inch which cost $524 and $749 respectively. You can get a home theatre combo with the larger TV for $899. The highlight of Mi TV 3S is that they are the first TVs in the world to feature Artificial Intelligence. The system is called Patch Wall and for the meanwhile it just works in China. The Mi Brain computes and recommends movies from the Mi collection of over 27 thousand movies to the viewer. The Mi TV 3S is made out of aluminium alloy frame with embossed diamond cut on the edges. Both the Mi TV 3S televisions are 9.9mm thick.

Underneath the shiny exterior we have a Amlogic T966 chipset for TVs which houses a 1.8 GHz quad-core Cortex A53 processor, Mali T-830 GPU and 2GB of RAM. The Mi TV 3S supports the latest H.265 video decoding along with support for 4K videos at 60 frames per second. Both the Mi TV 3S variants support High-dynamic-range (HDR) and Dolby and DTS hardware decoding. The Mi TV 3S promises true to life colour details and picture quality. Coming to the variants individually, the 55inch Mi TV 3S has a panel from LG. The Mi TV 3S 65inch variant has the panel from Samsung with HDR support.
