Swipe Sense Smartphone Launched - Features 5.5" Screen, Android 4.4 And Fingerprint Sensor

Swipe Telecom has launched a new smartphone called the Swipe Sense that has an inbuilt fingerprint sensor, a feature made popular with Apple's iPhone 5S and 5C smartphones. The Swipe Sense smartphone is priced at Rs. 9999 and is available for buying from Swipe's eStore. The phone comes with a 5.5 inch qHD IPS Screen with 540 x 960 Resolution. Packed inside the device is 1 GB RAM and 8 GB internal memory (32 GB Expandable through micro SD Card). Running on the latest Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system, the Swipe Sense smartphone is powered by a 1.3 GHz Quad Core processor.

The company has provided the phone with a 2250 mAh Lithium Ion battery that can last up to 24 hours on a single recharge, and if you have a heavy usage of 3G data, you can also use the extra spare battery that comes within the package for free. The phone supports a dual camera - that's 8 megapixel on the back and 3.2 megapixel on the front with flash. As you can see from the images below, the phone's boasts of an ultra thin design (7.8 mm).

On the connectivity front, the Swipe Sense phone features 3G (WCDMA/GSM), WiFi, GPS+AGPS, Bluetooth 4.0 and USB 2.0. The tech specs sheet also mentions the presence of - Light sensor, Gravity Sensor, Proximity sensor & E-Compass. Coming to the most striking feature of all - The fingerprint sensor. The company specifies that the sensor can not only be used for unlocking your phone, but also launch specific apps by allocating them to each finger.

The Sense also features an intelligent gesture control mechanism that lets users control their phone by simply using off-screen gestures without even touching the phone. Superior sensor technology on the Sense is on 'Always On' mode, and recognizes preset gestures in nano-seconds, so that users can have a hands-free mode for every task.

    It will be fun to read the comments people make after buying phones - especially equipped with Mediatek processors - purely for gaming 😉. They see 'quad core' and jump to buy the those phones only to get disappointed later on.
