Swipe Konnect 5.1: 3000mAh Battery & Dated Android KitKat For Rs. 3,999

While the whole country is going gaga over the dirt cheap Freedom 251, Swipe has quietly launched its new smartphone, the Swipe Konnect 5.1 exclusively on Snapdeal. The Swipe Konnect 5.1 in a limited edition Sandstone Black variant will be sold on the website for Rs. 3,999 starting from today. As you might expect from any entry level smartphone in the market, the Swipe Konnect 5.1 comes loaded with a dated Android 4.4 (KitKat). The company promises that the smartphone will be upgradable to Android Lollipop in the near future. The highlight of the smartphone is its 3000mAh battery that is claimed to offer 8 to 10 hours of talk time and up to 220 hours of standby.


The Swipe Konnect 5.1 sports a 5-inch FWVGA (480 x854 pixels) TFT display that is protected by an unspecified laminating glass. Underneath the hood we find an unknown SoC that houses a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor and 1GB of RAM entrusted with the task of running Android 4.4 (KitKat).
