Sony Xperia XA Ultra Has A Selfie Camera That Most Smartphones Would Envy

Sony Electronics is struggling in the smartphone market and it has found its way to redemption with its revamped Xperia line of smartphones. Today it launched a new member of the Xperia family, called the Sony Xperia XA Ultra that is focused on photography and is capable of taking excellent selfies with its high resolution 16MP front camera. While the resolution is high enough to make most mid-range smartphones feel the sweat, Sony adds in some of its trademark garnishes to make the selfie shooter on the Sony Xperia XA Ultra one of the best ones in the market. It has a selfie flash that naturally illuminates not just your face but the background as well. Just like erstwhile Nokia, Sony has added in optical image stabilisation so that even if your hand is a little bit shaky, the photo isn’t affected by it. It has borrowed the hand gesture shutter option from Samsung that allows you to start the shutter timer by raising your hand in front of the camera. Coming to the back, we have a 21.5MP Exmor RS sensor that comes equipped with fast launch and hybrid auto-focus that helps you take photos faster than ever.

You can view your selfies on the 6inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution IPS panel display that is powered by the company’s in-house Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2. Underneath the hood, we surprisingly have the MediaTek MT6755 SoC which is popularly known as the Helio P10 that houses a 2GHz octa-core ARM Cortex A53 CPU, ARM Mali T860 MP2 GPU and 3GB of RAM. The Sony Xperia XA Ultra has an internal memory of 16GB and it allows you to expand that storage to up to 200GB with the help of microSD cards. The Sony Xperia XA Ultra that runs Android Marshmallow is powered by a 2700mAh battery that is claimed by the company to give two days of runtime on a full charge.
