If you think you have seen the best smartphone in the Xperia series, you are wrong because Sony has just announced Xperia C3. What makes this phone stand-out in the competition is its 5-megapixel front facing camera with a soft LED Flash designed especially for selfies. Wait, there’s more. This 5 MP camera features a 25 mm wide-angle lens with an 80 degree field of view, so that no one from the group is left out. Sony has also added various software features to go with the snapper such as instant share, HDR support, AR effect, Smile shutter, Portrait Retouch camera app for real-time photo editing and 10 different frames.

The Xperia C3 looks a typical Sony smartphone, running on Android 4.4.2 KitKat, sporting a 5.5-inch HD display with a resolution of 1280x720 and is powered by a 1.2GHz Snapdragon Qualcomm quad-core processor and 1 GB RAM. Apart from the selfie camera, it features an 8-megapixel auto focus rear camera with LED Flash along with an Exmor RS image sensor.

Other features include 8 GB internal storage which is expandable to 64 GB, dual-SIM support, 4G LTE support for up to 150 Mbps download speeds, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0. With the 2,500 mAh battery, Sony promises talk time of 24 hours and standby time of up to 1071 hours.

Xperia C3 will be available in black, white and mint colors, and will launch globally from August 2014 starting with China as the first launch market.

this is the phone which i discussed earlier on your thread about frontal cam with flash enabled Sony xperia phone.

That so called front flash can attract supporters until this become a commoner in phones in near future.Until that, Sony can enjoy success.
      Price please?

      • OS: Android v4.4.2 (KitKat)
      • Screen: 5.5 Inches capacitive touch screen (No clue if it will have Gorilla Glass 3)
      • Hardware: 1.2 GHz Quad Core Processor; 1GB RA; 8GB Internal storage,
      • Camera: 8MP rear and 5MP front camera both with LED flash

Features are nice and expectedly Sony had kept the price in check - probable price is 22,999; are you all game with that price?

I guess the price will be higher, touching the 30k mark. Specialist phones like this one tend to be pricey

Nope. It should be around 20-23k. Or else Sony will find it very difficult to sell it in the Indian market.

I like my photos self taken better. It's really difficult to get a 'look' of my liking if my shot was taken by anyone other than a professional who knows to 'shoot' the 'best-angle' of the subject.

Unfortunately, even the Canon EOS 600D seems too heavy or in short 'complicated' for a quick selfie.

Sony, if you bring this phone within Rs15k, I'll ditch this Samsung S4 mini and buy your C3. What say?
