Samsung Galaxy S4 Wireless Charging Kit Available In India For Rs. 5899. Worth It?

Samsung #-Link-Snipped-# India has listed the Samsung Galaxy S4 wireless charging kit (pad+cover), product code: EP-WI950I with a price tag of Rs. 5899. The company had launched S4 in Indian markets in April and had announced a few accessories at the time of its global launch. However, until now, not many of those accessories were available for direct sale. Samsung took their own sweet time (as always) to bring those accessories to India. The much awaited wireless charging pad, body scale and heart rate monitor are the top accessories that have made the India debut today.

As we type this, the white cover is already out of stock and we're unable to see black/grey option. Here are the official tech specs of the kit-

Dimension (HxWxD) : Cover : 69.09 X 135.84 X 4.62 Mm Pad : 91.8 X 161.8 X 11.6 Mm
Packaging : Gift-Box
Weight : Pad : 123.3g Cover : 25g
Input Voltage : 5V
Output Current : Cover : 650mAh
Output Voltage : 5V

If you fancy wireless charging (basically want to show it off to your colleagues or friends) may opt for the kit Alternatively, there's a wireless charging cover available separately for just Rs. 2699. You may even opt for the charging pad only for Rs. 3399.

The wireless charging cover will replace the standard cover that ships with Galaxy S4 and uses electromagnetic induction to charge your phone's battery. The cover follows Qi (pronounced 'Chee") standard developed by Wireless Power Consortium for inductive electrical power transfer over distances of up to 4 cm.

We want to ask our members whether the wireless charging kit is worth the price tag? We're aware that if you bought the S4 already, you'd not mind paying for the wireless charging kit, right?
