Redmi Y1 Lite With 5.5inch Display & Snapdragon 425 Launched, Costs Rs. 6,999

Since we are done with the Xiaomi Redmi Y1, we have to talk about the second launch which is the Xiaomi Redmi Y1 Lite. As you may have already known from the Lite moniker, this one is cheaper than the Redmi Y1 and waters down a lot of features. The primary objective of the Xiaomi Redmi Y1 Lite was to provide a big screen at a budget. The Xiaomi Redmi Y1 Lite starts off with that promise with a Rs. 6,999 price tag and goes on with the 5.5inch HD resolution display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.

Underneath the hood we have the Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 chipset that was previously seen on the Redmi 4A. The Xiaomi Redmi Y1 Lite has a 1.4GHz quad-core processor, Adreno 308 GPU and 2GB of RAM. The Xiaomi Redmi Y1 Lite will be sold in 16GB variant but we have an inkling that a 3GB RAM + 32GB ROM might be launched in the future just like it did with the Redmi 4A. The Xiaomi Redmi Y1 Lite does settle for the same cameras that Xiaomi is known for. You have a 13MP one with LED flash on the rear and a 5MP camera on the front. Although Xiaomi say that they have added the same Beautify software on the Xiaomi Redmi Y1 Lite that was seen on the Redmi Y1.

The Xiaomi Redmi Y1 Lite also has a 2 + 1 hybrid SIM tray which takes care of two nano SIMs and microSD card. The Xiaomi Redmi Y1 Lite is powered by a 3080mAh battery. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, microUSB and Bluetooth. The Xiaomi Redmi Y1 Lite has an IR blaster but not a fingerprint sensor. The Xiaomi Redmi Y1 Lite has Gyroscope, proximity, accelerometer and compass sensors. The Xiaomi Redmi Y1 Lite will be sold in Dark Grey and Gold colour variants. The Xiaomi Redmi Y1 Lite has been priced at Rs. 6,999 and it shall go up on a flash sale on November 8 at 12noon on Xiaomi’s official website as well as Amazon India.
