Miracle Machine Lets You Make Wine From Water In Your Kitchen

Believe it or not but two folks claim to have created a “Miracle Machine” which would convert water to wine when added with ingredients. Kevin Boyer and Philip James have brought together the Silicon Valley technology and Napa Valley wine to develop The Miracle Machine which they believe is the world’s first affordable wine making device capable of creating great wine in few days with minimal efforts. The device is priced at $499 which would provide great wine at cheaper rate.

The Miracle Machine is actually a urn-like device which can turn water into wine when other ingredients like yeast, finishing powder, grape concentrate etc are added. Interestingly, unfamiliar users could download the app which would guide them through the entire wine-making process. Though their The Miracle Machine – Water Resources for the World haven’t revealed the exact process, but it says that the device contains a fermentation chamber which uses an array of electrical sensors, transducers, heaters and pumps to provide suitable environment for fermentation. Ceramic air-diffuser pump is used to provide filtered air to aerate the wine and soften tannins. To develop the flavor of wine, an ultrasonic transducer is positioned beneath the chamber. Finally, all these components are connected to Arduino microcontroller which ensures that the machine would be ready with wine in a few days.

Initially, The Miracle Machine could make six types of wine. These include Cabernet Sauvignon and rich Chardonnay from Napa Valley, cool climate Pinot Noir from Oregon, an edged Tuscan blend from Italy, Sauvignon Blanc from Sonoma, a delicate red and steely white from Burgundy. In addition to this, founders of machine have plans to add few more types in three months. The wine so made could be kept only for one-two weeks and since it is pre-aged, there’s no need to age it further.
