Without further adieu, let's get straight to the phone's specifications and features list.

Starting with the phone's big screen aka the 5.2 inch FHD display that features 1920*1080 pixels resolution and 423 PPI pixel density. The screen is well protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

That brings us to the most important part, the phone's core - The Canvas 5 runs on an 1.3GHz Octa Core processor (Mediatek MT6753) coupled with 3GB DDR3 RAM. The fast processor promises that the system doesn't become jittery or slow down when the user is playing heavy games or editing HD photos.

A 13 megapixel rear AF camera that comes with 5P Lens and Blue Optical Filter and a 5 megapixel front snapper lets your selfies be picture perfect moments. Both cameras support flash. The camera comes bundled with a lot of interesting software features aka Picture-in-Picture, a mode which captures shots with rear & front camera at the same time, A Night Shot mode for night time shooting, A Panorama mode for wider and lengthier shots and last but not the least various 'Face Beauty' modes such as skin-soften, de-pouch, eye brighten, de-blemish, etc.

Micromax's Canvas 5 features seamless connectivity options such as 4G LTE support, WiFi, USB, Bluetooth, a150 Mbps download speed, CAT-4 enabled and a microUSB slot for plugging in the charger.

The device's 2900 mAh Marathon battery is said to offer a continuous 275 hours of standby time and up to 10 hours of talk time. That inside a body that's just 4.8 mm in visual thickness with a metal side frame makes up for a rather sharp looking smartphone with rounded edges and metallic finish.

Powered by Android 5.1 Lollipop OS out of the box, Micromax Canvas 5 packs 16 GB of internal storage and microSD card expansion slot that can level it up to 64 GB. The phone also features gesture recognition technology and hence the features such as 'Smart Wake' accompany with the device.

Those who look forward to purchase this smartphone should also know about Micromax's partnership with Bajaj Finance to offer its buyers with a "12 month EMI scheme" where 4 months worth of EMIs have to paid in advance.

With that we come to the end of all the features highlighted by the manufacturer. What are your thoughts about the all new Micromax Canvas 5? Share with us in comments below.
