Micromax 4K UHD TVs Running Android Launched In India Via Flipkart

4K TVs are a rarity in India, let alone Android powered 4K TVs. Vu and Toshiba had launched Android televisions in October 2014 and January 2015 respectively, but needless to say, they didn’t create much stir in Indian television market. However, Micromax does not seem to be the one to shy away from challenges. They have launched not one but two 4K Ultra-HD (UHD) Android TVs in the Indian market.

One model of the TV has a display of 42 inches (model number: 42C0050UHD) and the other of 49 inches (model number: 50K2330UHD). The 42-inch model runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and the 49-inch variant runs on Android 4.4. Both TVs have the resolution of 3840x2160 pixels and the viewing angle of 178 degrees. The body of the TVs have a metal frame of golden colour and both have a glass-finish back.

Both of them have a dual-core CPU, dual-core GPU and 1 GB of RAM. They have an internal storage of 2.2 GB. Since they have a microSD slot, the memory can be extended upto 32 GB. Since the TVs are smart TVs, any compatible phone can be mirrored to the TV to watch videos, photos etc. present in the phone. Both the variants, under connectivity offer USB ports, HDMI ports, Wi-Fi connectivity, Ethernet, AV input and VGA connector. The 42-inch model has 3 USB ports and 3 HDMI ports while the 49-inch model has 3 USB ports and 2 HDMI ports.

Both the TVs come with pre-loaded apps like Facebook, Twitter, and Gmail etc. Manual installation of apps and games is also possible because the TVs can connect with the Google Play Store. The 42-inch model can be bought on #-Link-Snipped-# at the price of Rs 39,990. Similarly, the 49-inch model too is launched on #-Link-Snipped-#for Rs 49,990.

Wondering what the official price tag from the Xiaomi brand would be. That would make or break it for Xiaomi.
