LG Electronics (LG) loves its phone's cases and can't stop limiting the innovation in that arena. Ahead of its much-talked-about smartphone - LG G3's launch on May 27 in London, New York and San Francisco, the company has given us a preview of its new case called the 'LG QuickCircle'. The flagship smartphone will feature this new folder-style case with a circular window as an accessory loaded with new features. Once on the smartphone, the case can be used to make calls, check the time, send text messages, listen to music as well as take photos. LG also wants the G3 users to use the QuickCircle case to get updates on their health directly from the circle-shaped window.

The company believes that circles (Google+ design > Facebook's? ) are more stylish and hence would appeal more to the tastes of the buyers. In fact, to enhance the beauty of its circular design language, LG features "Smart Lighting" that emits a soft, white, circular glow inside the window whenever the case is opened or closed or even when a call or text message is received. Currently, the case is available in 5 vibrant colors, including - Indian Pink, Shine Gold, Metallic Black, Aqua Mint and Silk White. Just like any other protective cover for your phone, the QuickCircle case is designed to protect the side edges of the LG G3 smartphone. The LG officials believe that this one provides the best “grip-ability” and does not hamper G3's original sleek lines.
Apart from the stylish looks, the QuickCircle case is also wireless charging compatible with the Qi interface standard. The company will release the software development kit (SDK) for the developers to tweak and transform and bring customized functions to the QuickCircle Case. Dr. Jong-seok Park, President and CEO of the LG Electronics believes that smart cases for the smartphones have gone beyond being used just for protection from bumps and drops. Take a quick look at the features of the all new QuickCircle case for the G3 -

The rumors surrounding LG G3 so far, suggest that the phone will be powered by a Snapdragon 801 processor and will run Android 4.4 KitKat operating system. It might come with a 5.5-inch Quad-HD display (2560x1440p) display and will be the first mainstream Android device to feature a 2K display. Also in store is a 13 megapixel rear camera, 32 GB internal storage and 3 GB RAM. The phone is said to have a 8.9mm thick body and inside that there would be a 3000 mAh battery. We will wait for the phone's launch event due next week to dig out the official details about technical specifications, price and features of the phone.
