Lenovo Vibe P1, Vibe P1m With Price Tags Rs. 15K And Rs. 8K Launched In India
The Chinese electronics maker Lenovo has launched two new smartphones Vibe P1 and Vibe P1m in India with price tags of Rs. 15K and 8K respectively. Both the phones will be available exclusively through Flipkart and those interested in buying the phone may register today. Lenovo further announced that the Vibe P1 will be available on 27th of October, while the P1m will go on sale on 28th.
There ain't much to discuss about the hardware because the company wants you to focus on the battery part of these phones. The Vibe P1 is equipped with a eye popping 5000 mAh battery pack while the P1m gets 4000 mAh. Lenovo says that you can use these phones to charge your friend's mobile through its USB OTG charging feature.
The Vibe P1 gets a nice 5.5" full HD screen and at its heart is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor along with 2GB memory. The phone gets 32GB of on-board storage which can be extended up to 128 GB using the microSD card. There's a 13 MP camera on the rear which should capture good photos. You will be able to click your selfies using full 5MP selfie-camera.
The Vibe P1m is a smaller sibling that gets a 5" HD screen. At its core, the P1m has a quad-core CPU and 2GB of RAM. The rear camera is 8MB and the selfie-camera supports 5MP resolution.
Both these phones will ship with Android Lollipop and are capable of receiving the Android Marshmallow once it's made available.
At the launch of the event, Lenovo informed the media that it has sold about 30 lakh 4G capable phones in India at the rate of about 20 phones per minute. No doubt Lenovo is getting its 4G capable hardware ready for the upcoming 4G revolution in India.
If you are out in the marketing looking for a phone that runs on Android and yet last for more than a day on a moderate usage; Vibe P1 and P1m should be strong candidates on your list.
