Lava Mobiles has recently launched a new smartphone named Lava A77 in India. The smartphone is priced at Rs 6,099 and comes with Android Marshmallow OS. Lava A77 comes with a 4.5-inch WVGA screen which offers clear pictures with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. It comes in a plastic framed body which makes it weigh as light as 160 gm. The device is powered by 2000 mAh battery and runs Android Marshmallow 6.0 OS which comes integrated with enhanced security and battery optimization features.

Processor wise, the device has a 1.3 GHz quad core processor which is further supported by 1 GB of RAM. It has 8 GB of internal memory which is expandable up to 32 GB via micro-SD. Camera wise, the device has a 5MP primary and 5 MP secondary camera both equipped with LED flash. It supports features like time lapse, slow motion, audio picture and face beauty which comes inbuilt with this device.

Connectivity options include but are not limited to Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.0, USB 2.0, etc. It has dual SIM slots and even supports 4GVoLTE connectivity. Apart from that, it also comes with a 3.5 mm audio jack for media and FM radio accessibility. Accelerometer is the only sensor present in this device. The phone comes with a charger, screen guard, USB cable and a headset in the box and offers a 1-year warranty over handset and 6 months warranty for other accessories.

Hence, Lava A77 fails to impress with its specs given the price at which it is launched. The mediocre hardware might be one of the reasons behind the availability of this device at a reduced price at many offline retailers. However, the device might find some budget section buyers who are looking for a low-end smartphone for their daily usage.
