Lava Iris 465 Launched At INR 4,499; Supports 21 Indian Languages

Last week, Lava announced the launch of its flagship smartphone, the Iris X8 and now the Indian mobile manufacturer has unveiled an entry-level smartphone- Lava Iris 465 in the Indian market. The phone is priced at Rs. 4,499 and will be will be available for sale across all national retail stores, multi-brand outlets from today and on all leading e-commerce portals next week onwards. The handset comes with support for 21 Indian languages like Hindi, Bodo, Sanskrit, Nepali, Marathi, Dogri, Konkani, Bengali, Assamese, Maithili, Maniouri, Malyalam, Kannada and many more.

As far as the specifications are concerned, the phone flaunts a 4.5-inch FWVGA (480x854 pixels) display and runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat. It is powered by a 1.3GHz dual-core processor coupled with 512MB RAM and 4GB internal storage which expandable up to 32GB via microSD card. The dual-SIM device sports a 3.2MP rear camera with LED flash and a 0.3MP (VGA) front-facing camera. The camera offers features such as face recognition, smile detection, continuous shot, self-timer, and panorama capture. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, FM and GPS. It packs a 1750mAh battery which the company claims will deliver up to almost 23 hours on 2G and about 11 hours on 3G. The phone weighs around 146 grams and will be available in white & black colors.
