Karbonn Titanium Mach Five Android Lollipop Smartphone For Rs. 5999, Only On Amazon India

The entry level smartphone market in India has another well equipped competitor, the Karbonn Titanium Mach Five. Unlike the name suggests it does not travel at hypersonic speeds but does offer some good bangs for your buck. The Karbonn Titanium Mach Five starts off well with a 5-inch HD resolution (1280 x 720) IPS panel display but spoils it by not providing any protective glass covering. Underneath the hood, we get an unspecified chipset, we are guessing some entry level MediaTek, that houses a 1.3GHz quad-core processor and 2GB of RAM that is entrusted with the task of running the slightly dated Android 5.0 (Lollipop). You have to note here that unlike the recently launched Lava Pixel V1, this is not an Android One device which means you have to keep your fingers crossed about any upgrades.

In the photography department, which is often the key selling point of any smartphone, we get an 8MP rear sensor with LED flash. Karbonn has done the clever thing by opting for a Back Side Illuminated sensor for the 5MP selfie shooter that is accompanied by a tiny flash. This makes sure that your self-portraits are not dimly lit and are worthy enough to be posted to your social networking profile without any filters but you weren’t going to post one without a filter anyway. Another nifty feature on the Karbonn Titanium Mach Five is the presence of an IR sensor and an accompanying app called Peel Smart Remote. This means devious minds will try to use it at electronics showrooms to play some pranks by switching off TVs, ACs and more.

We get the usual set of connectivity options on the Karbonn Titanium Mach Five with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and microUSB. The smartphone however decreases its mojo by skipping on 4G connectivity which is fast spreading across the country. So how does it compare with other players such as Micromax Canvas Spark Smartphone Available On Snapdeal At Rs 4,999, Xiaomi Launches Redmi 2 And MiPad in India - Flipkart Sale On March 24, Lenovo A6000 Plus Packs More Punch - Goes For Two-Day Open Sale and the Micromax Canvas Xpress 2? Well, Karbonn has been kind enough to post a comparison list on the #-Link-Snipped-# on Amazon India.

Comparision

The Karbonn Titanium Mach Five has been put up for pre-order on the Amazon India website for Rs. 5999 and it shall arrive in stock on August 7. Amazon is coyly coupling a freebie in form of its app on the Karbonn Titanium Mach Five from which you have to purchase Rs. 1500 worth of stuff to get a Rs. 250 gift card afterwards. This phone from Karbonn in the already crowded entry level market reiterates the fact that selling products exclusively online is really lucrative and soon we could see more of such smartphones in the online market.
