Huawei Honor V9: A Power Packed Smartphone With Impressive Specs Launched In China

The hard to pronounce smartphone maker, Huawei has launched a new smartphone in China. The Huawei Honor V9 was announced in China and it is a computing powerhouse. The Huawei Honor V9 sports a huge 5.7inch IPS LCD panel display which has a Quad HD (1440 x 2560 pixels) resolution which results in pixel density figure of 515ppi. The Huawei Honor V9 houses a HiSilicon Kirin 960 chipset that houses an octa-core setup of a quad-core 2.4GHz Cortex A73 processor and a quad-core 1.8GHz Cortex A53 processor. The graphics is handled by a Mali G71 GPU. The Huawei Honor V9 will be sold in two variants, one with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal memory and the other with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal memory.

The highlight of Huawei Honor V9 is its camera which is a dual camera setup of two 12MP cameras on the rear. It is similar to all Huawei cameras where one captures the detail in black and white and the other one fills in colour. The front camera is also a big 8MP sensor which can capture all the facial details while taking selfies. The rear camera is capable of taking 4K resolution videos. The Huawei Honor V9 runs Android Nougat that is peppered with Emotion UI 5. You can use microSD cards of up to 256GB on the Huawei Honor V9. Sadly it is a hybrid structure where you can use either two SIMs or one SIM and a microSD card. As it is a high-end smartphone you have a fingerprint sensor on the rear and USB Type C connectivity.

The Huawei Honor V9 is powered by a huge 4000mAh battery that will last for a day or more on average use. The Huawei Honor V9 is available in Blue and Gold colour variants. The 4GB RAM + 64GB internal memory variant will set you back by CNY 2,999 and the bigger 6GB RAM + 128GB of ROM will cost you CNY 3499. It is expected that the Huawei Honor V9 will be sold as the Huawei Honor 8 Pro when it is launched globally at the Mobile World Congress later this month.
