Facebook Brings Public Conversations With Clickable Hashtags

People are constantly making fun of people who use hashtags on Facebook because hashtags do not function as a categorising tool as they do on #-Link-Snipped-# or #-Link-Snipped-#, but all that mocking is about to stop as Facebook has introduced #-Link-Snipped-#. Hashtags on Facebook will function as the same they do on Twitter or Facebook helping you add context to a post and find posts similar posts bearing the same hashtag.

Facebook

With the help of the Facebook hashtag feature, you can now search for posts associated with a particular tag from the search bar. Also if you have integrated your Twitter or Instagram feeds on to your Facebook profile, the tags originating in those services shall also be clickable. Once you have your chosen hashtag feed in view, Facebook lets you compose posts directly from the hashtag feed and search results page. Facebook has also answered the question of privacy of your posts with hashtags in this #-Link-Snipped-#. Facebook will also be rolling out trending hashtags and deeper insights features soon.

So what do you think of #hashtags coming to Facebook and do you want them on the CrazyEngineers forum? Let us know in the comments section below.
