Celkon Campus A518 Offers Android KitKat On A 5-inch Screen For Rs. 4500
For the budget conscious folks in India, Celkon Mobiles has launched the new Campus A518 smartphone that offers you a dated Android KitKat on a 5-inch display for just Rs. 4500. As you would expect, the Celkon Campus A518 comes with the bare essentials to call it a smartphone. In its official press release which is in a handy PDF file, the company does not even mention the brand of the processor. Considering the price point we can easily guess it’s not a Qualcomm but a MediaTek or All Winner 1GHz processor coupled with 512MB of RAM. The 5-inch IPS panel on the Celkon Campus A518 has a low-res FWVGA resolution instead of a qHD one.
The Celkon Campus A518 earns brownie points by including 3G connectivity, Dual-SIM and operator video calling capabilities. The Celkon Campus A518 has been packed with a 3.2MP rear sensor with flash and a 1.3MP front snapper. On the smartphone we find a rather above average 2000mAh battery that can power the phone for up to a day depending on your usage. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, micro-USB and Bluetooth. You get an A-GPS sensor for navigation purposes. The Celkon Campus A518 has a paltry 4GB of internal memory and like always the company has thrown in a microSD card slot that can gobble cards of up to 32GB. The smartphone measures 145 mm x 73 mm x 9.75 mm and weighs 164 grams. As a launch offer, the company is throwing in a flip cover and screen guard. The Celkon Campus A518 has gone up in the market for sale in white and black colour variants.
