Asus has launched a new product in its Go-series, the ZenFone Go 5.0 LTE (ZB500KL) smartphone, in India. The new device will be available for Rs. 8,999 via e-commerce retailer Amazon as well as via offline stores. The novel smartphone comes equipped with a 5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) TFT touch screen display.
It is powered by a 1 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 (MSM8916) paired with 2 GB of RAM. There is a provision for 16 GB of inbuilt storage, further expandable via microSD card (up to 128 GB).
Asus ZenFone Go 5.0 LTE (ZB500KL) runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with the company's ZenUI on top. Fired up by a 2600 mAh battery, it comes in Black, Red, Gold, Silver and Blue variants. Measuring 14.4 x 1.1 x 7.1 cm it weighs 150 grams. On the optics front, the options include a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, and a 5-megapixel front-facing snapper. The dual-SIM enabled smartphone supports 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 as connectivity features.
The device is an upgraded version of the Asus ZenFone Go 5.0 LTE (T500), which was launched last year in India. In earlier months this year Asus had launched twin new devices- ZenFone 3S Max and ZenFone 3 Zoom.
