Leading Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer Asus has just announced a permanent price cut for the Indian market for seven of its Zenfone series smartphones. The smartphones are, the Asus ZenFone 3 (both 5.2 inch and 5.5-inch display models), ZenFone 3 Max (both 5.2 inch and 5.5 inch), the budget ZenFone Go (both 5.0 inch and 5.5-inch variants) and the ZenFone Max. The devices have received a permanent price cut of at least Rs 1,000. The recent move can be seen as an effort from Asus this new year, to capture the booming Indian smartphone market which is being dominated by the Chinese smartphone makers as of now.

Starting off with the Asus ZenFone 3 which is available in two variants, the ZenFone 3 5.2-inch (ZE520KL) and the ZenFone 3 5.5-inch (ZE552KL). Both the models have received a price cut of Rs 2,000 and are now retailing at Rs 11,999 and Rs 14,999 down from Rs 13,999 and Rs 16,999 respectively. They are powered by the 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC with 2.0GHz Octa-Core processor and Adreno 506 GPU coupled with 3GB/4GB LPDDR3 RAM. There is a 16MP shooter on the back and 8MP shooter on the front for selfies.

The Zenfone 3 Max which is also available in two variants of 5.2-inch (ZC520TL) and the 5.5-inch (ZC553KL) display is now available at Rs 8,499 and Rs 9,999 instead of the previous Rs 9,999 and Rs 12,999. These devices are powered by a Quad-core 64 bit processor and 3GB of LPDDR3 RAM and backed by a monstrous 4,100mAh battery.

Talking about the Zenfone Go which is now the cheapest smartphones in the Asus's Zenfone lineup, has also received the permanent price cut. The 5.0-inch screen variant is now available at Rs 6,499 down from Rs 7,499 whereas the Zenfone Go 5.5 inch version is made available at Rs 6,999 from its original price of Rs 7,999.

Lastly, the Asus Zenfone Max which was released with a price tag of Rs 8,999 is now available at Rs 7,499. The USP of the smartphone is its mammoth 5,000mAh lithium-polymer battery which Asus says can hold the charge for up to 38 days.

All the Asus Zenfone smartphones with their updated pricing can be bought from the Asus Exclusive offline stores across India and also from the major Indian e-commerce sites.
