Arduino? What it is?
Arduino is a platform for building electronic projects. It is open source platform hence anyone can download and start working with it. Arduino consists of two parts one is physical programmable circuit board, it is a microcontroller, and a piece of software, or IDE (Integrated Development Environment) that can be installed and run on your computer having any OS. The IDE or software is used to write and upload computer code to the physical board.
The Arduino platform is one of the most popular platform for many beginners in electronics due to its super simplicity. It is not like other programmable circuit boards from past that need a separate piece of hardware (called a programmer) in order to load new code onto the board. Yes you read right. Arduino does not need that. One can simply use a USB cable. Additionally, the Arduino IDE uses a simplified version of C++, making it easier to learn to program. At last Arduino comes in different packages like Arduino UNO, MEGA etc. capable of doing various tasks if programmed logically and correctly.
