What is robotic mapping?
In simple words, mapping is related to robot vision and cartography. The objective of the robot is to create a map of the environment its present in and try to relate it with the know environment. Think about it this way, suppose you are in an unknown area. The first thing you'll do is look around for signboards, shops or landscapes you can remember and follow the path mapping your current position in mind, this is the same case for a robot.
