Advanced Automatic Self-Car Parking using Arduino

Now a days Car parking is a major problem in urban areas in both developed and developing countries. Following the rapid increase of car ownership, many cities are lacking car parking areas. This imbalance is partially due to ineffective land use planning and miscalculations of space requirements during first stage of planning. Shortage of parking space, high parking tariffs, and traffic congestion due to visitors in search for a parking place are only a few problems examples of everyday parking. Autonomus car parking is done by various visual systems onboard on car which detect lane of the road. Engineers use matlab and labview types of software to overcome such engineering problem.

Well overpopulation is one of the issue for not finding any car parking slots. Its not like we'll be able to get a parking area for every places we visit, if we do have one there might be some other problem like no available space, congested parking zone etc. This makes it difficult for an amateur to park a car in a really thin place since it becomes more risky that they might get it damaged. The trending automated cars these days do have a lot of features which could support this, for a basic idea they use sensors to detect the distance between the sides and back side of car with its surrounding boundaries. If a person is driving manually then after getting in a certain range of collision the sensor will alert us, as for automated cars they won't have any idea parking it in a place like that since the functions doesn't require a human aid means they have a better idea of how to manipulate the car in any area. These experiments are best achieved with an ultrasonic sensor. Well they don't really have a wide range scope but its not like sensing the whole area is necessary to park a car in a tiny spot.
