Advanced OS fingerprinting with Xprobe2

Earlier I made a post on Basic OS footprinting with Ping and Traceroute | CrazyEngineers

This is an extension to it. For better OS fingerprinting we will use a tool specifically made for it and it is found in Kali linux, and can be used from terminal. The basic syntax is as follows.

To list all probing modules type,

xprobe2 -L

Do you know any other tools which provide more accurate results? Post them below!

PS: Footprinting and Fingerprinting is relatively the same. But Footprinting is a generic data collection, while Fingerprinting is more of deep, active data collection.

Xprobe2 is available for Ubuntu as well, bu the Options are slightly different from what I know.

Refer Ubuntu Manpage: xprobe2 - A Remote active operating system fingerprinting tool.
