ASUS Transformer Prime Tablet PC Launched In India, Priced At INR 50K

#-Link-Snipped-# India has declared its most recent member in the Transformer series-  the first quad-core supported tablet for the Indian masses, the #-Link-Snipped-#. Presently running on Android 3.2 Honeycomb, it's all set for an Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update. It comes with a keypad dock, which when connected to the device, acts similar to a laptop. Together, the tablet (64GB model) and the dock are priced at INR 50,000.#-Link-Snipped-#

This tablet is powered by Nvidia's Tegra 3 processor, and boasts of a 10.1 inch super-IPS display, 1GB RAM and 64GB in-built storage memory. The chip has 4 main cores for working out heavy work-load and an assisting core to maintain the functionality of the tablet in standby mode. ASUS stated that this arrangement enables the tablet to be more power efficient thus leading to a better battery life. The primary camera can capture images at 8 megapixels, and the front camera can do the same at 1.2 megapixels.








The dock stands prominent in this device. Along with a touchpad and a keypad, it is also equipped with a USB port, extra battery and SD card reader. The price of the 32GB model shall be revealed soon.
