Archos 80 G9 And Archos 101 G9 Tablets With 250GB Storage

Archos has come up with five tablets in its G9 series. With OMAP 4 dual-core processor the G9 will feature Android's latest version, Honeycomb 3.2 on shipping. The OMAP 4 is believed to perform better than Tegra 2 because of its PowerVR SGX 540 GPU which also features dual-channel memory.

With 8GB internal storage and at only $299 the Archos 80 G9 will feature a 1GHz clocked OMAP 4. For 16GB storage of the same model you have to pay $30 more which will also get you a 1.5GHz clocked processor. The top most model of the Archos 80 G9 series will feature a 250GB hard drive from Seagate with a 4GB of flash memory and a 1.5GHz processor priced at $369.

The Archos 80 G9 series is a 8-inch screen tablet featuring 1024x768 pixels of resolution. It also features Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1 and 3G connectivity via USB stick along with a 720p capable front camera.

The 10-inch model, Archos 101 G9, will feature 1280x800 screen resolution. This series has only two models, both offering 1.5GHz OMAP 4 dual-core processors. The 16GB of this variant will cost around $399 and the 250GB variant will cost $469. The remaining features will be same as of the Archos 80 G9 series.

The Seagate's new hybrid drive technology will offer 50% lower power consumption nearing to the SSDs technology.
