AppRadio Unveiled By Pioneer Electronics Inc., Will Make Car Apps Easy To Use

Pioneer Electronics Inc. has on Wednesday unveiled its latest innovative product called “AppRadio” based on iOS platform. The device developed is the first of its kind being vehicle in-built. Pioneer’s AppRadio also gives users a chance to use the apps safely.

#-Link-Snipped-#The physical appearance of AppRadio is very attractive with a gesture enabled 6.1 inch, high resolution WVGA (800 x 480) capacitive touch screen. The device connects to an iPod touch or an iPhone and can be mounted on the center dash. Its screen is one of its carefully and artistically designed features. This capacitive touch screen panel is capable of recognizing multiple touch points at the same time and all this requires very less pressure than the conventional ones. The touch-screen is able to control functions like Bluetooth Hands free, app interface, playback, AM/FM radio etc.

A spectacular feature of AppRadio is also the ease of updating its software. The device has only three buttons on its front side to regulate volume also including a home button along with the screen. This feature is only seen in the most modern and powerful mobile gadgets. With the freely available AppRadio applications, users can have an access to many latest technologies like Google Maps, iPhone 4 data and connectivity etc.

The only limitation of this device is that it cannot empower you to check your mails or send messages. For that we will have to wait for some more innovation in this field. Perhaps the Android version will solve the problem. The device does not contain functions which can distract the driver from driving in adjusting and controlling AppRadio. However, a fair amount of difficulty is introduced when the user (driver) wants to switch from one app to another. You will need to do this manually.

For those who are enthusiastic to use this latest innovation will have to wait at least until next month. The user will then need to install AppRadio coming in June. The costs will vary according to the Car you possess. But the expected retail price of AapRadio is expected to be some what less than $500.
