Toyota Introduces Prius Of Year 2012
Toyota has recently unveiled its highly successful car, the Prius at the annual green drive expo, California. The car by Toyota is basically a plug-in hybrid vehicle and promises a good mileage-87 MPGe during combined driving and 49 MPG while driving absolutely on fuel. Unlike others, the automobile provides a smooth driving when working as an EV. The car is designed to have five seats. The car gives its best EV operation for 15 miles when driving at 62 mph.

Toyota's Plug-in Prius has given an utmost attention to its battery system and its fuel system. The automobile boasts of a 176 lb Li-ion battery pack. However even after so much weight to be transported by the car, it still remains weightless due to weight saving techniques employed in other parts of the automobile. 2012 Prius is provides an option to its customers between fuel and electricity, even after this, it relies mainly on its electrical system for power. Thus it gives you a best optimization of mileage. In doing all this and achieving a superior performance, the weight of this car is kept to be 3165 lbs. Minimum emission of CO2 is the factor which the auto giant has definitely taken care of.

The timer allows us to charge the vehicle during off peak hours and we can set both start and end times. During any charging malfunction, Charging Circuit Interrupter Device takes care of the car and to prevent any untoward accident disrupts the charging operation.
For all those who want to purchase this car, Toyota offers an exclusive 36 month/ 36,000 miles warranty. Moreover if you purchase an additional warranty of 60 months you can get a piece of mind for another 60,000 miles against corrosion with no mileage limitation. The miscellaneous components of car like HV battery, hybrid control module and battery charging system etc as covered in eight years/ 100,000 miles warranty. However CARB states enjoy 10 year/150,000 miles warranty for their 2012 plug-in Prius. Definitely this car can set a benchmark in the market.
