ZTE Nubia Z11 Mini Unveiled In China: Snapdragon 617, Fingerprint Sensor & 16MP Camera For $230

ZTE’s sister brand Nubia has unveiled the Nubia Z11 Mini in the Chinese market today. The ZTE Nubia Z11 Mini as you might expect is the cheaper variant of the company’s flagship handset, Z11. The ZTE Nubia Z11 Mini which looks like an iPhone rip-off sports a 2.5D 5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) display that is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. Underneath the hood, the ZTE Nubia Z11 Mini has been equipped with Snapdragon 617 SoC that houses two quad core Cortex-A53 CPUs running at 1.5 GHz and 1.2 GHz respectively. The chipset also contains Adreno 405 GPU and 3GB of RAM. The ZTE Nubia Z11 Mini runs Android 5.1 (Lollipop) that is laced with the company’s Nubia 3.9.6 UI.

The highlight of the Nubia Z11 Mini is its cameras. On the rear you get 16-megapixel f/2.0 camera from the courtesy of Sony. On the front we have a rather large 8MP f/2.4 aperture 80-degree wide angle lens. The internal memory of the Nubia Z11 Mini stands at 64GB and can be expanded up to the 128GB with the help of microSD cards. Just like many other ZTE devices this one too is a dual SIM smartphone featuring a hybrid SIM slot which means you can either have one microSD card and a microSIM or one microSIM and one nanoSIM card. The fingerprint reader as you might expect is on the back and can be used to unlock the smartphone and apps.

The Nubia Z11 Mini features Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, USB Type C and Cat 6 LTE connectivity options along with VoLTE. The Nubia Z11 Mini is powered by a user non removable 2800mAh battery that is claimed to last for two days on average use. One of the lesser known features of the Nubia Z11 Mini is the ‘Super Screenshot’ feature that lets you take customised screenshots and record your activity on the smartphone with voiceover. Another great feature is the facility to virtually clone apps like WeChat which lets you operate two accounts at once. The Nubia Z11 Mini will be sold for $230 (15,221 INR) during a flash sale on April 25th. The Nubia Z11 Mini is currently a China exclusive.
